New Global Food Crisis

The unprecedented speed at which the global food crisis has started to spiral out of control is indeed good news for NGF members.

Never before in history has this happened on such a scale and it is truly exciting to know that
wiping out a good 2 billion humans in one shot is well within our grasp.

However, it will require a lot of hard work from those of you who have done such a good job at making all the contributing factors to the problem come together at the same time.

The problem is that once people start to die of starvation, supply goes up, prices come down, people stop dying. You can do your part to help to triple prices over the next year.

- If you can afford it, eat as much as you possibly can. Many of the worlds poor spend over half their income on food. Americans and Europeans should try to match this. at a minimum you should be spending $1000 per month per person on food.

- If you are a farmer, get on the ethanol bandwagon and help make biofuel. If switching to a crop such as corn is not viable, grow any kind of food crop, dry it, press it into blocks, and sell it as a "renewable home heating fuel" people can burn it in their fireplaces during the winter. You should have no problems competing with the price of home heating oil

- Protest GMO foods. Genetic engineering promises better yields, more resistance to pests and drought, and less need for expensive fertilizers. GMO food = cheap food. Do everything you can to ensure you local government bands all GMO crops and imports.

Thanks for all your efforts, keep it up!!!

Progress!!!

Pour yourself a drink because today NGF members really have something to celebrate!!

For the first time since we began working towards the new global future, we have successfully warmed the earth enough to free the northwest passage of ice.

(read article here)

But don't stop now, there is plenty of work to be done, there is a lot of oil up there that needs to be rescued and burned.. and probably some seals that need clubbing.

Keep at it.. the future is near!!!

Yet another enemy. LocalCooling.com

Some idiot decided to make a desktop application called local cooling for your home computer that manages your power usage so that you use less energy and then it calculates how many trees, gallons of oil, and kilowatt hours you have saved.

Well we can fight back! After you visit their website and send a nasty email explaining what a disservice they are doing to the planet, use the following tips to increase the amount of power your computer uses.

- Run a few distributed computing projects such as SETI@Home
- If you have a dual core processor, make sure that you have enough applications running to make use of BOTH cores.
- Make full use of your GPU by keeping a 3d intensive program or game such as World of Warcraft running at all times.
- Buy more computers! even if you don't have much money to spend, you can find very cheap and even free old computers or extra monitors on craigslist.
- And of course, never turn off your computer!

Stop saving lives!

If we are ever to stop overpopulation, we all really need to work together to create a new way of thinking.

A quick google news search for "save lives" shows over 4300 news stories!
However, only a handful of stories show up when you search for "end lives".

This is terrible! The media should not be in the business of trying to promote safety. especially when their biggest stories are always coverage of some tragedy. So why not promote danger? "Tonight at 10 - Seatbelts are un-comfortable, un-cool, and un-sexy"

A simple 5 minute spot on the news could send thousands of people through their windshields, and as a bonus, create a story about thousand of people flying through windshields. Everybody wins!

Friend of the Future: DuPont

Our friends at DuPont are one of the world's largest users of perfluorooctanoic acid, used to make Teflon, which is used to coat cookware, clothing, carpet, the metrodome, etc.. The best part about this carcinogen, is that it doesn't break down! It accumulates in our bodies and the bodies of animals forever, which is why now 95% of the human population has this chemical in their blood. DuPont has done an outstanding job at contributing to the rise in cancer rates globally.

This isn't the first time DuPont has done something good for the future. DuPont also invented chlorofluorocarbons, which helped create holes in the ozone layer. They would have been successful if only given a few more years to do their work. But legislation around the globe stopped CFC's in their tracks.

Keep up the good work DuPont!

Traffic Safety

Traffic safety has really gotten out of hand over the years. Speed limits, seat belts, stop lights, right-of-way, air bags, and crash tests. Doesn't anyone know that the road's would be infinitely more safe with LESS drivers on the road?

It's good to see that at least Russia understands this concept

Worth Watching: Blackwater USA

In less than a decade, Blackwater USA grew from a small security training firm in North Carolina, to the the largest mercenary army in the world, providing key support for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Blackwater USA is currently our best candidate for taking out key targets such as Greenpeace and hippies.
